Welcome to the Parents' Morning Out Co-op at Flowery Branch United Methodist Church, we are happy you are here! We exist to serve families in our community by providing an opportunity for young children to learn and play, and for their parents and caretakers to have some child-free time knowing their kids are loved and safe.
Who it's for:
Families with children ages 6 months to 5 years old.
When it is:
Monday and Wednesday mornings, 9:30am - 12:30pm.
We are currently accepting registration for our Spring term, which will run January 12th to May 20th.
What happens:
Parents or other caretakers bring children for a 15 minute welcome circle. Then, the parents leave and the children spend the morning playing with peers, working on social skills, learning about Jesus, practicing preschool skills like letters and numbers, playing outside, and enjoying a snack and their lunch.
How it works:
Each day, one to two adult family members will stay as helpers in the classroom. They will be paired with a volunteer teacher from the church. Families trade days as helpers on a rotating basis. The number of days each family is in the classroom is based on total enrollment, but the goal is for each family to be in the classroom 1-2 times per month, per number of children enrolled in the program. So, if you have two children enrolled, expect to serve 2-4 days a month in the classroom. Each month will average around 8 program days and the days you are not a helper in the classroom, you get a few hours of child-free time and the opportunity to miss your child!
But, how much does it cost?:
We strive to keep costs affordable for every family. There is a $20 registration fee per child, and a monthly tuition of $20 per month per child. The total cost for the Spring 2026 Term is $120 per child. If you would like to participate, but the cost is prohibitive for your family, please reach out to Emily at [email protected]
How do I sign up?:
The first step in the sign up process is to complete the Interest Form using the "I'm Interested!" button below.
Once we have confirmed we have a spot for your child (factoring in ages and needs), you will receive an email about registration. Registration is on a first come first serve basis, and your registration fee will be due with your paperwork.
